Can I download the app yet?
Not yet. Receipt Photo is currently in development for iPhone. You can email us to express interest in launch updates. We haven’t announced a release date or pricing.
Will this duplicate my photos?
No. For a photo selected from your library, the app updates the date and location of that exact photo with your permission. Photos taken in the app are saved to your library before their details are updated.
What happens to my receipt photos?
Selected receipts are uploaded to our backend and sent to Alibaba Cloud for recognition. Google services help find shop locations. The app does not upload your entire library. See our privacy notice for processing and deletion details.
Which languages are supported?
This website is available in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese and Korean. We’ll confirm the app’s language availability at launch.
Can I add receipts after a trip?
Yes—that’s exactly the idea. Add one or several receipt photos after you get home. Once the transaction time and shop location are resolved, the app can restore those details to the original photos.
Does it work when I close the app?
Recognition can continue on the server once the upload finishes. Unfinished uploads resume when you reopen the app. Open the app again to apply completed date and location updates to your iPhone photos.
